What is PrEP?

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a daily medication for people who are HIV-negative but at risk of HIV infection. If taken consistency, PrEP reduces the risk of HIV by more than 90%.  PrEP, either as an injection or daily pill, helps prevent someone from getting HIV from an HIV-positive partner.  It's important to know that PrEP does not protect against other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and should always be used with condoms.

Ready, Set, PrEP

Ready, Set, PrEP is a nationwide program led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Ready, Set, PrEP program provides PrEP medications at no cost to individuals who qualify. Check eligibility requirements and enroll in the program at getyourprep.com

What is PEP?

PEP (Post Exposure Prophylaxis) is medication that you take within 3 days (72 hours) of being exposed to HIV. The sooner you start, the better it works — every hour matters.
